| The World's Oldest App:Touring Jerusalem's Old City with a Smartphone
Looking for a professional guide to help you explore the Old City of Jerusalem? The tour-app for smartphones is just the thing you've been looking for. The Jerusalem Development Authority has launched a smartphone application for touring the Old City giving the user a full range of guided tours through the Old City.
Jerusalem's Old City is the most widely visited area in Israel, with some 10 million visitors each year - including both internal and foreign tourism.
This cellular tourism initiative is the first of its kind in Israel, offering visitors a vastly improved tourism experience of the Old City: audio-guided tours of a range of walking trails, accompanied by maps, photos and additional information - all free of charge. The apps - one in Hebrew, one in English - include 15 different routs, amongst it accessible tours.
