The Jerusalem Development Authority, in collaboration with the Prime Minister's Office, the Ministry of Tourism, the Jerusalem Municipality and managed by the Ariel Company, is pleased to invite tourists, residents and visitors to the medieval celebration of Jerusalem Knights in the Old City during "Autumn Nights in the Old City".
The royal family invites the public to join the medieval festivities in the wondrous autumn of Jerusalem's Old City. Dozens of musicians and dancers, magicians and soothsayers, knights, princesses, troubadours, court jesters and peddlers from ancient times will return to the picturesque streets within the stone walls and among quaint mysterious locations in the Christian Quarter. Together they will create a moving and magical experience during the twilight and evening hours.
On Thursdays - October 18 and 25, and November 1 and 8, 2012 as evening falls, the public is invited to enter through the Jaffa Gate to a newly restored ancient world; to meet typical characters from the past, to delight in faraway sounds, to enjoy dance performances, acrobatics and theater and to take part in a spectacular and extraordinary event, all in the special atmosphere between the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem.
The journey will begin at Jaffa Gate, from there to the Muristan square and back to Jaffa Gate on a circular, fascinating and fun filled route.
"Jerusalem Knights in the Old City" is open to the public, free of charge.
